BODENSCHATZ - Edward Joseph, 79, Summerhill R. D. 1, died April 5, 1987, at home. Born February 10, 1908, in Wilmore, son of Simon and Margaret (Denne) Bodenschatz. Preceded in death by son, Denton; daughter, Elaine; and sisters, Elizabeth and Bernetta.

Survived by widow, former Audrey Bowen; son, Kenneth, married to former Diane Wilson, Summerhill R. D.; and daughter-in-law, Patricia, Mineral Point R. D.; also six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother of Raymond, Summerhill R. D.; Dorothy Haddon, Sidman R. D.; and Christina Martin, Johnstown R. D. 2.

Member of Portage Senior Citizens and Local 6359, United Mine Workers of America. Life member of Portage Moose Lodge.

Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany, the Rev. Father Firman Buyer. Interment, Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, New Germany.
