Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth "Bessie" Robinson Parsley, 92, of Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Mount Airy.

Born Feb. 17, 1911, in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Charles Cecil and Louise Ellen Fowler Robinson.

Surviving are six children, Cecil E. Parsley of Lisbon, C. Elaine Schwartzbeck of Ijamsville, Dorothy E. Tavenner and husband Alton of Virginia, Thomas E. Parsley and wife Barbara of Myersville, James R. Parsley and wife Jane of Adamstown, and Michael E. Parsley of Florida; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Parsley will also be remembered by her many friends and the nursing staff at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

Mrs. Parsley was preceded in death by three sisters, Ellen McDonald, Grace Post and Melvina Haber; two brothers, Charles and James Robinson; and a grandson, William Andrew Parsley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Pastor Guy Kneebone will officiate. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, 401 N. Broadway, Suite 1100, Baltimore, Md. 21231-2410.
