Albert Young Drake, 84, of Springdale, died Wednesday in the Springdale hospital. Born March 31, 1889 in Washington County, the son of Alfred and Sarah Whittemore Drake, he was a retired farmer and a Baptist.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Julia LaShell Drake of the home; four sons, Gail of Fayetteville, Cecil of Monroe, La., Virgil of Springfield, Mo., and Donald of Springdale; three daughters, Miss Maurine Drake of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Sabina Curtis of Cave Springs and Mrs. Twila Burson of Peggs, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was to be at 2 p.m. today at the White Oak Church with burial in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
