Teacher and education administrator. Former Principal of Meritt Hutton High School (Thornton, Colorado). Mr. Smith earlier was a teacher and later held high administrative posts in School District # 12, Adams County, Colorado, working with the district from 1953 to 1978. Served on the Broomfield city council; zoning board, and citizen's budget committee. Also was a representative to the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG). The Norman Smith Municipal Service Center, 3001 W. 124th Avenue, Broomfield, is named in his honor.
