Arancie Lee Karr was the son of William Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Whitman)Karr. He married Nancie Iona "Nan" DuBose on December 22, 1913 in Newton County, Texas. They spent their lives in the surrounding counties. He laboured as an employee of the Longleaf Lumber Company early in life, then at the Bethleham shipyard in Beaumont, Texas during World War II where a plate of steel used in the construction of a ship fell on him and crushed his leg. He lost the flexibility of his knee in his left leg and walked stiff legged once rehabilitated. After the war, he spent the remainder of his life farming. He was a 32nd Degree Mason but had no professed religion.

Nona Lee Karr, b. 10-3-1914 in Newton County, Texas; d. 1-23-2013, Jasper, Jasper County, Texas. Married Drewey Henley 5-28-1932.

William Dale Karr, b. 1-29-1920 in Newton County, Texas; d. 11-29-1996 in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas. He married Alice Mae Tepley 12-31-1941.

Allie Fay Karr, b. 3-27-1926 in San Augustine County, Texas; d. 5-6-2013, Jasper, Jasper County, Texas. She married Earl Raphael Mika 4-21-1947.
