Dear sister of Hannah Gross of San Mateo, and Ted Scheidt of Fresno. Cherished grandmother of Linda Machado of Foster City, Sandra Tuvera, Carol Alvarez, Teresa Patane, and David Scovill, all of South San Francisco; John Gross, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, Lisa Gross of Fairfield, Jennifer Freedy of Vacaville. Loving great-grandmother of Michael and Grace Machado, Bryan and Tracee Tuvera, Jennifer and Ramon Alvarez, Christina and Jonathan Patane, Karen and Michelle Scovill, and Janna Freedy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Employed by the San Francisco Chronicle, then the News-Call Bulletin until her retirement. Member of the Northern California Newspaper Guild, Local 52 in San Francisco; Order of the Eastern Star Mission Masonic Temple Chapter 99 in San Francisco; Women of the Moose, Home Chapter 0 also in San Francisco.
