Funeral service for Velma G. Bell, 75, of Flint is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Frankston Assembly of God with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home, Tyler. Burial will follow in Wofford Cemetery in Anderson County.
Velma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010. She was born Feb. 6, 1935, near Frankston to the late Joseph C. and Girtrude Springer Holt. She was a loving housewife and homemaker and a member of the Frankston Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harliton Bell.
Survivors include sons, James Eugene Bell of Flint, and Jimmy Leon Bell of Gainesville, Ga.; three grandsons, Christopher Gene Bell and Kyle Alan Bell, both of Dallas, and Jesse Duane Bell of Gainesville, Ga.; and one great-granddaughter, Harmony Diane Bell of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Donald Pendry, Charlie Bell, Terry Stephenson, Ray Seago, Brian Shell and Don Bowers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
