The victim of a heart attack, Mr. Arndt died at 1 a.m. The family reported that he had not been ill before the attack. A member of the Methodist Church in Stockwell, Mr. Arndt had served as lay leader for several years and was a Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau. Mr. Arndt was born near Linden in Montgomery county and was married to Ruth Carolyn Moore in 1939 at Lyons. Surviving with the widow are two children, Virginia, of Lafayette, and Dean, at home; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Arndt of Stockwell; one brother, Elbert, of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Delpha Allen, of Ossian and Mrs. Violet Bravender of Lansing, MI.
