Benjamin Franklin Dean was married to Amanda "Manda" Rowe on the 19th of December, 1873 in Knox County, Ohio @ Source: Marriage Records, Knox County, Ohio, volume 2, page 484, and they had three children; James Lewis "Lew" Dean 1875-1966, married Clara May Jones; Charles Elmer Dean 1978-1968, married Edith May Streby 1881-1960 and Mary Margaret Dean 1891-1979, married Charles C. Rinehart 1889-1955. Dean, who has been sick at his home, west of town, for some time past, died Thursday night, aged 49 years. Mr. Dean was one of our most prosperous and influential farmers, a staunch Presbyterian and a man who was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. His demise will spread sorrow to a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. R. G.
