WIRFEL-Gertrude, 81, Gates Hill Road, New Germany, went to be with the Lord March 4, 2004, at UPMC Lee Regional. Born August 13, 1922, in Sidman, daughter of William H. and Dorothy E. (Bodenschatz) Haddon. Preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Coleman, who died May 6, 1978; son, Alan Coleman; brothers, Robert Haddon and William Haddon; stepson, Francis Wirfel; and stepdaughter, Theresa Bunk.

Gertrude was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Sidman.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Olive United Methodist Church, The Rev. Thomas Moore. Interment, Mount Olive Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Mount Olive United Methodist Church.
