MARY ETTA PEGODA passed away June 1, 2002. She was born January 22, 1899 in Huntsville, Texas and lived in three centuries during her 103 years. She taught fourth grade for 50 years spending most of that time in West University. She is survived by her nieces: Lucille Thompson, Pasadena, TX, Kathryn Nickell, Huntsville, TX, Loudell Pegoda, Groveton, TX, and Zelda Pegoda, Pennington, TX. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 4 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, South Main Baptist Church, 4100 Main, with Rev. Eugene Vickrey officiating.
