Anna E. Clason, 91, died March 28 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb., and cremation has taken place.

Anna was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Mitchell, Neb., the daughter of Hugh and Clara (Stemler) Brady. She grew up and received her education in LaGrange, graduating there in 1937.

She then attended two years of college. She married Everett Raymond Clason in 1940. They moved around while he was in the military and then settled in Denver.

They moved to La Junta, Colo., for a time before moving to Cheyenne, where she began working for the U.S. Post Office. They moved back to La Junta, where she began her career in cooking at restaurants and schools.

In 1978 she started babysitting as well as cooking and continued cooking until she was 85. She was known in LaGrange as Granny Café and was known to everyone as Grandma.

Anna enjoyed crocheting and crafts and made dolls and clothes for all her daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. She loved bingo and traveling. She was a member of the first 4-H Club in Goshen County and won a trip to the Denver Stock Show for a demonstration on how to stick a turkey.

She was a member of the oldest sewing club in Cheyenne and while in Cheyenne was president of the Senior Center, where she made sure they had dances. She was a member of the Homemakers Club in LaGrange and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved Cheyenne Frontier Days and attended every night show for the chuckwagon races.

Anna is survived by two daughters, Cindy Wilson of LaGrange and Francy Allen and her husband Craig of Torrington; two sons, Dennis Clason of Crook, Colo., and Stephen Clason of Cheyenne; a sister, Margaret Tolson of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; a sister-in-law Barbara Brady of Carmichael, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Susie, Leisha, Jimmy, Beth, Meggan, Wade, Bryce, Amy and Hannah; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judith; granddaughter, Annette; grandson, Cameron; great-granddaughter, Brogann; sister, Edith; three brothers, Clarence, Jim and Richard; and two sons-in-law, James Odell and Wes Wilson.
