James R. Strohm, 75, of 325 N. College Street, Palmyra, PA, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 in M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1927 in Cleona, PA, to the late James W. Strohm and Miriam R. Ebersole Strohm. He was an Army Veteran, serving in World War II. He was a retired Machine Operator in the Kiss Department at Hershey Foods, for 47 years. He was an avid NASCAR and Penn State fan; and he adored his grandchildren. He was a member of the Local Chocolate Worker's Union #464, Hershey. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn J. (Smith) Strohm of Palmyra; daughters, Sherri L. Harris, Donna L. Koons, both of Palmyra, Barbara J. Lentz of Cleona; sons, James S., husband of Sonya Strohm of Annville, Steven R., husband of Michelle Strohm of Ephrata and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard W. "Sunny" Strohm. Visitation at Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Pine Street, Palmyra, on Monday, July 14, 2003 from 9: 30-10: 30 a.m. Funeral service will be on Monday, July 14, 2003 at 10: 30 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, N. Annville Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA 17042-1263.
