Eva Mae Anderson, 86, Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Missouri Veterans' Home/Mt. Vernon. She was born Aug, 14, 1924, in Scotia, Calif., to Ralph and Sylvia (Rigby) Holimon. She married Max R. Anderson in August 1945. He preceded her in death.

She served in the United States Navy during World War II as a lab tech. She attended Portland University, where she earned a degree. She worked as an office manager for Tri-State Steel and Aerotech, both of Cheyenne, Wyo. She was active in the Cheyenne Democratic Party, Cheyenne Frontier Days parade and activities, Eastern Star and American Legion.

Survivors include one son, John M. Anderson, Pasadena, Calif.; one daughter, Pam Ramsey, Monett; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Randall Anderson.

No services are planned at this time. A memorial will be held at a later date in Cheyenne. Local arrangements are under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
