E. M. Lineberry
Elbert Marion Lineberry, 83, of Rt. 3, Galax, Hebron vicinity, died at Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C., Tuesday, November 24, 1964.
He had been in declining health for some time.
He was born in Carroll County February 27, 1881, to Byram Lineberry and wife.
Surviving Mr. Lineberry are one daughter, Mrs. Lois Bedsaul, Galax; six sons, Carson Lineberry, Woodlawn; Willard Lineberry, Clarence Lineberry, Grey Lineberry and Everett Lineberry, all of Galax, and Eugene Lineberry, Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Walker, Greenbelt, Md., and Mrs. Alma Alley, Galax; five brothers, Ottie Lineberry, Princeton, W. Va.; Will Lineberry, Jeff Lineberry and Coy Lineberry, all of Austinville, and Berlin Lineberry, Galax; 18 grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
His wife, Mrs. Rhoda Elender Lineberry, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 26, at Hebron Christian Church by the Rev. Winfred Bowers and the Rev. D. Gilmer Bedsaul.
Interment was in Monta Vista Memory Gardens.
The body rested at Vaughan - Guynn Funeral Home until time for removal to be placed in the church one hour before the services.
