South Berwick, ME – Cecil R. Horr, 92, of Old Mill Rd. died Saturday March 26, 2011 at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover.

Born in Rochester, NH July 31, 1918 the son of Virgil L. and Marion (Newcomb) Horr and has lived in South Berwick for most of his lifetime. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.

He formerly owned and operated the Chronicle Print Shop in South Berwick.

Cecil was a member of the First Baptist Church.

The widower of Minnie (Blaisdell) Horr who died in 2002 he is survived by a son Leslie E. Evans and wife Sheila of South Portland, two daughters Sharon L. Stuart and husband John of South Berwick, Noreen K. Byrne and husband Charles of East Falmouth, MA, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren a sister Eleanor Mayrand of Sun City, AZ. And many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers Everard, Arlo and Lawrence Horr, and four sisters Mary Crawford, Carey Raitt, Kathleen Blaisdell and Dorothy Brown who died March 11, 2011.

Friends may call Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mcintire-McCooey Funeral Home, 301 Main St. South Berwick, ME. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, 130 Main St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring.
