From the "North Platte Telegraph", July 12, 1958:
"Mrs. Anna B. Brodbeck, 89, died at her home at 404 West Fourth Friday, after an illness of five months. She was born Aug. 4, 1868 in Germany, came to North Platte with her parents 74 years ago and has made her home here since that time.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. A.B. Culton, Mrs. Fred C. Petersen, both of North Platte, Mrs. E.R. Guendel of Grand Island and Mrs. A.D. Hanson of Omaha; two sons, Carl H. and Louis C., both of North Platte; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Yost and Andrew Yost, both of North Platte; two sisters, Mrs. C.A. Dill of Chicago and Mrs Kate Austin of Greeley, Colo.
Her husband Chris and two sons, Harry and Will, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brodbeck was a charter member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the American War Mothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marvin E. Suhr, officiating. Burial will be in the North Platte Cemetery."
