George H. Flebotte Formerly Trucker
George H. Flebotte, 70, of 4 Rogers St., Indian Orchard, died Sunday night at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Wilbraham, the son of the late Theodore and Melanie [Bouchard] Flebotte and had been a resident here for the past 55 years.
He and his brother, Norman, owned and operated Flebotte's Trucking Co. from 1920 to 1945. Later he was employed by Eastern Container Corp. retiring five years ago. He was a member of the League of the Sacred Heart of St. Aloysius Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Exiline [Gamache] Flebotte; a son, Raymond G. of Ludlow; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Nowakowski of this city and Mrs. Frederick Maskill of Ludlow; a brother, Norman of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Couture, Mrs. Paul Desautels and Mrs. Rose Hebert, all of this city; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at the Ratell funeral home Thursday at 8:15 a.m. with a solemn requiem high mass in St. Aloysius Church at 9. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. Members of the League of the Sacred Heart will meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 8 p.m. to recite the rosary.
