George was the son of Guy Arner and Mable Bouse Arner. George worked many years for the Carthage Water and Electric Company before his retirement. George was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. He was married to Dolores Welch who survived him.
He was also survived by a daughter, Connie Leek, Jasper; a brother, Jerry Arner, Carthage; a sister, Dixie Francis, Carthage; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Arner.
Visitation was 2 to 3pm Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
Services were at 2pm Tuesday, Sept. 16,2003 at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel with Father Steve Wilson officiating. Burial was in Neosho IOOF Cemetery, Neosho, Missouri.
