E. J. Roche, operator at the M. O. & G. depot, passed away Tuesday night at his home in this city. Mr. Roche had been ill for some time, and had been confined to his bed for the past month. He was suffering from cancer of the stomach. Mr. Roche had been a railroad man for thirty-nine years, coming to Durant about four years ago, being employed as telegraph operator at the M. O. & G. Depot. He is survived by a wife and two children, besides other relatives. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at the Catholic church, with interment at Highland cemetery.
