Helen Myrtle Benskin Stiers, age 84, of Fulton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at Columbia Regional Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Helen was born November 30, 1913, in Portland, Missouri, the daughter of George Elmer and Louella (Lindsey) Benskin.
On June 20, 1934 she married Aubrey Louis Stiers in Rhineland, Missouri and he preceded her in death on December 23, 1984.
Survivors include; four sons, Raymond Stiers of Columbia, Missouri, Glenn Stiers of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lloyd Stiers and Roy Stiers, both of Fulton, Missouri; two daughters, Doris J. McFarland of St Charles, Missouri and Delores Martin of Fulton, Missouri; one sister, Margie Faye Gall of Madison, Illinois; eighteen grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of fifty years, Aubrey , she was preceded in death by one son; five brothers; four sisters and her parents.
Mrs Stiers had worked at the International Shoe Factory, Missouri School for the Deaf, Dairy Queen and was a homemaker.
Services will be at 2:00p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 1:00p.m. until time of service on Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Society.
