Betty J. Dunnuck

Betty J. Dunnuck, age 87, of Elkhart, passed away at Greenleaf Living Center on March 26, 2011 at 8:50 pm. Betty was born August 20, 1923 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Rex E. and Myrtle (Saddison) Andrews. On July 12, 1965 she married William M. Dunnuck. William preceded her in death, passing away in 2008.
Surviving are her daughters, Janet L. Bickel and her husband David of Elkhart, and Carla L. Lamberson and her husband Nils of South Bend. She is survived as well by 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, her brother Donald L. Andrews and her sister Beverly J. (Richard) Johnson. Betty was preceded in death by her siblings Jack and Harold Andrews and Dorothy Elston, and one great grandchild.
There will be one hour of calling prior to the 3:00 pm Memorial Service on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Betty was employed for 32 years at Whitehall Labs in Elkhart before her retirement. She enjoyed reading, and playing BINGO. Betty enjoyed living at the Brentwood Senior Living Center in Elkhart and fishing with her husband Bill in Edwardsburg. She and Bill spent many winters in Sebring, Florida before his passing. She was also quite fond of her aquarium and caring for her fish. Betty belonged to the DAV 19 of Elkhart, the Moose Lodge #599, The Elks Club, and the American Legion.
In her memory, contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the Pet Refuge.
