Our dear beloved son, father, brother, nephew, and uncle left us unexpectedly August 6, 2003.
Robert was born Sept 3, 1966 in Salt Lake City. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
At an early age, he loved being in the outdoors fishing and hunting.
He attended Brighton High School where he joined the Rodeo Club and later became a good bull rider. He and his family enjoyed traveling to all of the high school rodeo events so Robert could compete in bull riding. He qualified and rode in the Utah High School Rodeo Finals. Robert joined the Air Force National Guard after graduating from Brighton High School. He was a good student and obtained an Associates Degree from Salt Lake Community College and later attended the University of Utah and the University of Colorado where be majored in History. He began his career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Utah as a computer operator. He later transferred to Denver, 1988, to work at BC&BS. Throughout his career he exhibited an excellent work ethic. He became an expert in telephony, which gave him a great sense of pride because he could use those tools to serve his colleagues with world-class service. He was a great server to all, not expecting recognition but just requesting respect. Everyone loved him because of his warm demeanor and tenderness. He was a man's man who loved the great outdoors. The pride of his life was his daughter, Karissa. He loved her dearly, spending endless hours teaching her to fish and working with her on her homework. He taught her the importance of living the principles of a Latter-day Saint.
