1776: Anza Expedition

María Angela de la Luz Trejo y [?] married (1) Corporal Domingo Alviso y [?] about 1764 at Presidio San Miguel de Horcasitas, Sonora, where all four of their children were born. Her husband was transferred to the Presidio of Tubac, Sonora (now Arizona), where he volunteered to accompany Anza to Alta California in 1776. Domingo died in March 1777, a few months after their arrival at San Francisco. María then married (2) widower Pedro Antonio Bojorques y Ochoa at the San Francisco Presidio Chapel on July 20, 1777 (SFD Marriage 00005). Pedro was also a soldado of the 1776 Anza Expedition. She then had three more children. María Angela Trejo de Bojorques was buried at the Monterey Presidio Chapel Cemetery (San Carlos) January 4, 1803 (SC Death 01498). After her death Pedro married (3) widow María Dolores Amezquita y Guana de Arroyo at Mission San Antonio on October 18, 1807 (SAP Marriage 00832).
