Funeral services were held this afternoon (Friday) for Archie Goff, who passed away Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Mr. Goff was born in Chickasaw, Okla., and came to this community with his parents at the age of one year. He had lived here since that time. He passed away after a short illness at the Blytheville Hospital and was 49 years old.

Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church in Steele. Rev. W. E. Hall, pastor of the Cooter Baptist Church officiated, and was assisted by Rev. W.H. Cook, pastor of the Steele Church.

Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Nellie Goff; a son, George Goff of Steele; and a daughter, Mrs. Frank Doyle of St. Louis.

Pallbearers were Dan Steele, Elmo Michie, Roy Marshall, Louis Weaver, Bert Poteet and Rupert Pritchard.

Holt Funeral Home at Blytheville was in charge of arrangements, and interment was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
