Local Man Dies Following Crash
Harold A. Eperthener Dies In Mercer Hospital Following Accident Saturday
SAME ACCIDENT FATAL TO WOMAN
Harold A. Eperthener, aged 28, who had been residing with his brother, George W. Eperthener of Walnut street, died in the Mercer hospital Sunday afternoon at 12:45 as a result of injuries received the evening before when his machine was involved in a collision with an automobile driven by H. C. Wagner of R.F.D. No. 2, Fredonia, on the Sharon-Mercer road. Mrs. Wagner, wife of the driver of the other machine, died in Buhl hospital, Sharon, a few minutes after being admitted. The two cars are said to have collided when Eperthener attempted to past traffic, going in the direction of Sharon. Miss Mildred Kolb, aged 26, of R.F.D. No. 2, Jackson Center, a passenger in Eperthener's car, escaped with cuts and bruises, while Wagner and a daughter were also but slightly injured. Eperthener was born in Clarksburg, W. Va., May 18, 1908, the son of Hypolite and Olive Campbell Eperthener. The family resided

here for some years, after which they removed to Plaingrove, and five years ago went to Jackson Center. The deceased had been learning the baking business with the Roberts Baking company, it was stated. He was a member of the Plaingrove Presbyterian church. In addition to the parents, he leaves two brothers, John of Jackson Center and George W. of this city. Funeral services will take place Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the Cunningham funeral home at Leesburg, followed by interment in the Plaingrove cemetery. Rev. Douds of the Presbyterian church of Stoneboro will have charge.
