Joseph F. Chalone Sr., 71, of West Fourth Street died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Fulton, Mr. Chalone was a life resident of the area. He retired from the Sealright Co. in Fulton in 1986
He was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Fulton. He was an Army veteran, serving during World War II.
His wife, Katherine, died in 1987.
Surviving are a son, Joseph F. Jr. of Syracuse; a daughter, Judy A. Segouin of Fulton; a brother, John of Fulton; three sisters, Susan Hall of Oswego and Catherine Spaman and Mary Licciardello, both of Fulton; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Fulton. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton.
