Ollie Abbott, age 87, of Hammond, Indiana a former resident of Johnson County died at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday February 26, 1986 at the home of her daughter, Lottie White. She was born in Pope County the daughter of John and Martha Kennedy Pollard on December 27 1898. She married Otto Abbott on October 23, 1913. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1983. She is survived by two daughters, Lottie White of Hammond, Indiana and Ella Powell of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Hershell Abbott of Stateville, Georgia., a sister, Verna Dixon of New Burnside; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband and one son. She was a member County Line Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 1986 at the Aly Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial was in the Kerley Cemetery with the Rev. John L. Cox officiating.
