Buddy Ray Jackson, age 65, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was born October 1, 1945 in Bradley, Arkansas to the late Eldridge Franklin Jackson and Beatrice Lorene Silkwood Jackson. He was a highly decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, retired after 23 years of Naval service. He was a lineman for Pike Electric for many years before retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roger; one sister, Margaret.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tyjwonia (T.J.) Jackson; daughter Anita Hollis and her husband, Kenny; sons James Jackson; Shelby Jackson and his wife, Terry; Buddy Jackson, Jr. and his wife, Lindsey; grandchildren Joshua Jackson, Katie Hollis, Danielle Walker, Darrell Walker, Mailani Walker, Stephen Jackson, Makayla Jackson, Adrian (AJ) Ray, Olivia Jackson; Rolland Curry, Jr. and Tonya Childress; five great grandchildren; brothers Ralph, Paul, James, Walter, Larry, Kevin Jackson; sisters Sherry Hendrix, Mary Foster, Betty Cook and their spouses; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR 72209 (501) 455-5800 with Reverend Donnie Deloney officiating. Interment to follow at Landmark Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the John L. McClellan Palliative Care Unit, 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72205.

Family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
