George Mahlock, 86, Meeme, died at the farm home Tuesday afternoon after a
lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from
the Meiselwitz funeral home, Kiel, and at 2 o’clock from the Bethel Reformed
church, Herman, Sheboygan county. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Mahlock was born in Germany in 1851 and when a boy accompanied his parents
to Chicago. After two years’ residence there the family moved to Racine,
Sheboygan county. He married Miss Anna Staudigel, Meeme, in 1874 and they
located on the present homestead farm.
Survivors are the widow; two sons, William, Chicago, Louis, Meeme; a daughter,
Mrs. Paul Trager, Sutton, Neb.; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Thielen, city; Mrs.
Katharine Russell and Mrs. Caroline Dankwardt, both of Butternut, Wis., Mrs.
Dora Schwalenberg, Plymouth, Mrs. Clara Boelter, Thorp, Wis.; nine grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Meiselwitz funeral home, Kiel.
