Emmet Lee "Jack" Bass, 85, of Jones Creek went to be with his Lord Thursday, May 15, 2008, at his residence with his family at his bedside. He was born December 1, 1922, in Saratoga, Texas, to Charles and Ida Pauline Patterson Bass.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Dow after 38 years of service. He was a member of Brazoria Masonic Lodge 327 A.F.&A. M. Past Master in 1963. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Bass LeCompte and husband, Larry LeCompte, of Jones Creek; son, Gary Edwin Bass; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Richard and Patricia Pinckard, Jerry Means, Charles and Sharon Jones and Sammye Moore; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his five sisters, one brother and great-granddaughter, Danielle. Masonic graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17,2008, at Gulf Prarie Cemetery.
