Funeral services for Don Andrews, 62, San Antonio, were held December 3 in the Lunn Funeral Home Chapel, Olney, with Rev. David Hunter, the pastor of the Northwest Assembly of God Church in San Antonio, and Rev. W.A. McCann, the former pastor of the Olney Assembly of God Church officiating.
He died November 30, 1998, at his residence.
Born December 23, 1935, in Olney, he was a son of the late Sam and Grace(Welch) Andrews. He and Janis Gray were married November 13, 1956, in Megargel.
He was employed with Furr Cafeterias for 30 years. He moved from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to San Antonio in 1991, where he was a member of the Northwest Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Larry Don Andrews Jr. and Gavin Gray Andrews, both of San Antonio; daughter, LaJana Shero, San Antonio; five brothers, Elbert Andrews, Sanger, Arthell Andrews, Albuquerque, Harvey Andrews and Denny Andrews, both of Odessa, and Harold Andrews, Lubbock; three sisters, Barbara McAdams, Hobbs, New Mexico, Earnestine Locklin, Temple, and Dorothy Coats, St. Louis; mother-in-law, Florence Gray, Megargel; and four grandchildren.
Burial was in the Megargel Cemetery under direction of the Lunn Funeral Home.
