Mrs. Simon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three daughters: Deborah Jeanne Simon of Wilmington, Barbara Simon Page of Baltimore, MD and Linda Simon Riggsbee of Clemmons, NC.; a brother Oliver G. White of New Hampshire, and two grandchildren: J. Scott Riggsbee and Lisa L. Riggsbee. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, the late Lee K. Simon and a brother, the late Edward White.
Mrs. Simon was born in Tarrytown, NY and reared in Pleasantville, NY. She attended Colby College and Syracuse University, where she met her husband. Mrs. Simon was a resident of Wilmington for the past 30 years. She was an avid tennis, golf and bridge player. Her biggest love, however, was spending time with her family and friends, plus being near the water. She will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
