Alonzo Luckey was born on December 29th, 1849 in Vermilion County, Illinois, the son of George Washington Luckey and Mary Oder Luckey. His father was a prominent farmer and land owner and was very active in Vermilion County life and politics. He was a Freemason. Alonzo Luckey was active in Masonic lodges first in his home state of Illinois and later in New Mexico. He is listed as the Senior Warden (SW) of Rantoul Lodge #470 in the Illinois Masonic Register of 1875. Alonzo Luckey served as Worshipful Master and charter member of Eddy Lodge #21 in New Mexico.

In addition to his Masonic activities, Alonzo served as auditor of the PI&I Company until 1891 and then entered the real estate business. Alonzo retired to Illinois and is buried near family in Vermilion County, Illinois. (Bio provided by Alex)
