From the "Hershey Enterprise", 1958:
"Mabel Hattie Johnson, age 71, the widow of Frank O. Johnson, former residents of the Nichols community, passed away of a heart attack Wednesday morning at her home in North Platte.
Born March, 1, 1887, at Moline, Ill., she had made her home in the Hershey and North Platte communities for the past 47 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris and Arlene, both of North Platte; four sons, B. Kenneth and Paul of North Platte, Herbert, of Geneva, and Harold of Fort Collins, Colo.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Scharmann, and Bernice Lind of Stromsburg, and Mrs. Irene Crosby of Seal Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Ben Lind of near Hershey, and William Lind of Laramie, Wyo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist church in North Platte with the Rev. Luvern C. Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the North Platte cemetery with the Adams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements."
