Eliza Martin was born October 2, 1814 in Dutchess county, New York and died at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 22 days at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Levi Kime, Lincoln, Nebr.
She was married to Jeremiah Davis, November 4, 1835, by which union 8 children were born, four boys and four girls, three of which survive her, Mrs. Levi Kime of Lincoln, M.C. Davis at Bremerton, Washington, Charles N. Davis at Chillicothe, Mo.
She moved to Otoe county in July 1865 and lived here continuously, except a few years in Antelope county and Lincoln, Nebr.
There are now living 21 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. The remains were brought here Friday afternoon. The funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Abbott Saturday morning and the interment at the Unadilla cemetery.
An thus is ended a well rounded out beautiful life of a true and noble woman whose memory will ever be cherished by many friends here.
