Dr. C.L. Goodall Claimed by Death
End Is Unexpected
Dr. Goodall prominent Waco surgeon and member of an old Valley Mills family, died Tuesday, noon, after a long illness. His death followed a turn for the worse after encouraging reports Monday showing improvement.
Dr. Goodall was a member of the Waco Medical and Surgical Clinic. Associates were Dr. W.D. Biddlespach, Dr. F.F. Kirby and Dr. H. Jaworski. He began his medical practice in his native town of Valley Mills.
Baylor lost one of her most loyal friends in the passing of Dr. Goodall. Dr. W. Allen, acting president of Baylor said, "While we are happy to have Dr. Goodall's daughter as a student in this institution, you will be interested to know that this good man made it possible for several students to attend Baylor every year. I happen to know that he did this service for other young people in other institutions in this state as well".
Dr. Allen continued; "But so quietly did he do things like these that very few people knew about it. I happen to know that he sent a generous check to the Baptist hospital of this city every month, although he himself was not a Baptist. But he was a friend of every good institution and cause and Baylor, along with his profession, will be the poorer for his passing.
Survivors: His widow; daughter, Miss Willie Sue Goodall; 4 brothers, S.A, J.T., and E.W. Goodall; one sister, Mrs. L.B. Herbelin
