Ada D. Barnette - "TOGETHER AGAIN"

Ada D. Barnette, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 5, 1997.

Born in Braxton County, W. Va., she and her husband made their home in the Rootstown area for nearly 40 years. Mrs. Barnette was employed with Woolworth's as a sales clerk. She was a charter member of the Cathedral of Tomorrow, and enjoyed singing in area churches as part of the Barnette Family Singers. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Preceded in death by her husband, Audice W. Barnette Sr., in 1986. Mrs. Barnette was the last surviving of 11 children.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, with Pastor Peter C. Kaltenbaugh Jr. officiating. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Hartville Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 353 Crestmont Ave., Hartville 44632.
