William "Bill" R. Turner Sr. 79, died at 9:50 pm, Sunday in Luhern Hospital, Fort Wayne, In.
He was born in Marion to the late Wibur and Wilma(Smith) Shaw Turner
Bill was proceded in death by his first wife Eloise (Dunn) Turner in 1982. He then remarried Janet(Townsend) Fager(deceased Dec 5, 2010)
He retired from the Air Force after 20 years and from Dana after 22 years. He was a member of the Grace Community Church, LaFontaine Masonic Lodge, and the Wabash American Legion. Bill loved to golf, fish and ride his scooter.
Survivors include Wilma (Greg) Powers, Ky, William R. (Mary Louise)Turner Jr.,Mo., Pam (Dan) Kilty, Ky, Jeff (Sue) Turner, S.C., step daughter Marianne Fager, In, brothers Harry (Darlene) LaFontaine, Dean (Carol) Lagro; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson Jim Fager and a great granddaughter.
