"BEAN - John P. Bean died at the home of his son, Isham Bean, near Bearden at 10:35 o'clock, Thursday morning at the age of eighty years and four days. The funeral will be conducted at Zion M. E. church South, this afternoon at three o'clock.
The deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Bowman and Mrs. Duncan, and his children, four sons and two dauchters: Ollie, of Lyon's View, Isham of Bearden, Jesse of Knoxville, Escoe of Cleveland, O, Mrs. Oliver King of Knoxville and Mrs. Jim Hendrix, of Powell's Station.
The deceased was a well known farmer in the community in which he lived. He was born and reared and died of the farm on which he lived four score years.
His kind and loving wife preceded him more that a year ago. He was a kind and loving father and always greeted everyone with a smile. He will be missed in the home and community in which he has lived so many years.
The pallbearers will be Russell Ford, Alex Walden, Ben Duncan, John M. Currier, William Badgett and Mack Henson."
