Alice was born February 7, 1924 in Tazewell, VA, daughter of the late William Oscar George and Lillie Ellen Leece George.
She is survived by her son, William Clifton Decker (Sandra); three cousins, Sara Henshaw (Joe), Tom George and Martha Burton (Rodrick).
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, William Meredith Decker; her son, George Meredith Decker; and three brothers.
Alice was a graduate of Virginia Tech. She was a retired Home Economics Teacher with the Greene County Public School.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chuck Winner officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to the Good Samaritan Fund Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Department and/or Greene County Rescue Squad.
