Earl W. Wood, 64, of Rt. 1, Earlysville died Tuesday at his home. A retired carpenter with R. W. Proffitt & Son, he was born June 24, 1914 in Earlysville, son of the late William and Molly Webber Wood. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mamie Walker Wood of Earlysville; three sons, Carlton Wood and Wayne Wood of Earlysville and Andy Wood of Charlottesville; a daughter, Judy Batten of Earlysville; two brothers, William D. Wood of Russell, Ky. And Eldon Wood of Alexandria; two sisters,
Willah Proffitt of Earlysville and Hettie Maupin of Free Union; and six grandchildren. Joseph W. Teague Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
