Obituary:
Departed this life in Effingham County, Ga., December 23d, 1875, Mrs. Ann R. Neidlinger, Aged 71 years, 9 months, and 7 days.
The deceased was first the consort of Rev. Gideon Dasher; some years after the death of her first husband she was married again to Mr. Samuel Neidlinger.
About three years ago Mr. Neidlinger departed this life, and she was left a widow the second time; no human arm on which to lean for support, but she leaned on the strong arm of her Savior in whom she always found comfort. She bore all her afflictions with Christian fortitude and resignation to the will of her heavenly Father. Mrs. Neidlinger was a faithful member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, in which her mortal remains were borne on the 24th of December amidst a large congregation of sorrowing friends and weeping relatives; and the slow tolling bell impressed the fact more deeply on the minds of the congregation that death was in our midst, and that one of our number had fallen victim to his relentless hand. A funeral discourse was delivered by the writer, after which the body was interred in the cemetery at the church. Mrs. Neidlinger leaves six children, and a large circle of friends to mourn her departure, but they confidently hope that their loss is her everlasting gain.
