Capps Caughron

Mr. Capps Caughron, age 79 of Whitney died Monday morning, July 13, in the Lake Whitney Memorial Hospital. Funeral service at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney, Joe Blakeney officiating, burial in the Fort Graham Cemetery.

Mr. Caughron was born March 28, 1908 in Whitney, the son of Samuel Taylor and Willie Pearl Holt Caughron. He was a retired Security Guard for a construction company. He lived in Dallas several years before moving back to Whitney. He married Bessie Hines.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Caughron of Whitney, one daughter, Mrs. Don (Sue) Pool of Whitney, Five brothers, E.W. Caughron of Shreveport, La, Jim Dean and Loren Lavelle Caughron both of Big Sandy, Lawrence Taylor Caughron of Arkansas and Hobert Caughron of Morgan, Three sisters, Mary Rowe of Joshua, Avis Sinclair of Lake Texhoma and Florence Mahon of Fort Worth, two grandchildren, Peggy Faunette Neil of Mesquite and Don Anthony Pool of Whitney, two great grandchildren Shanda Lynn Hoffman and Christopher Lynn Hoffman both of Mesquite.
