Francis Totman was one year old when his parents migrated from Bristol, New York to Grant County WI. Francis and his first wife moved to Buena Vista Co, IA in 1876. they traveled by oxen drawn covered wagon with Charles Totman, his first cousin, son of DeLoss Totman. He purchased land near Newall, Iowa. Sold it 27 Dec 1916 and moved to Storm Lake, Iowa. He became a Baptist at age 16. After his death, his 3rd wife went to Denver, Co to live with her son Frank Guerny.
