Mrs. Florence Ann Armstrong, aged 74 years, wife of Robert W. Armstrong, New Castle, R. D. 4, died this morning at 3:45 o'clock at her home after a seven weeks illness due to complications. Born in Plaingrove township, Lawrence county, November 2, 1874. She was a daughter of the late Hugh and Melissa McNees Moore. Mrs. Armstrong was a resident of Plaingrove all of her life except the past five years, when she resided at McCaslin. The deceased was a member of Plaingrove Presbyterian church, Plaingrove Reading Circle and Jacksville W. C. T. U. Survivors include her husband, R. W. Armstrong, to whom she was united in marriage 41 years ago: two daughters, Mrs. Roberta McCommon, Grove City, and Mrs. Mary Florence English, Slippery Rock: a step-son, Arthur Armstrong, New Castle, and four grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Ella Montgomery, Plaingrove, and three brothers, Joseph F. Moore, Pittsburgh: Marion B. Moore, Grove City, and Everett Moore, Plaingrove. Three brothers, John, Walter and Lloyd Moore, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the lat home in McCaslin, with Rev. Fred Cochran, pastor of Plaingrove Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will take place in Plaingrove Presbyterian cemetery. The body will be returned from the Cunningham funeral home, Leesburg, to the residence, where friends may call at any time after Friday noon.
