George Maisenbacher, 80, a life-long resident of this city, died at his residence at North Eleventh street, at 10:15 a.m. yesterday. Mr. Maisenbacher, a retired blacksmith, had been in failing health for the last year. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Maisenbacher, natives of Germany, who settled in Springfield in 1848.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. T. F. Cloyd of Decatur, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Oklahoma City, Mrs. L. W. Bringham, city, and Mrs. Kitty Keeling of Louisville, Ky.; one son, J. E. Maisenbacher of Lubbock, Tex.; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Phillip and Joseph, city; one sister, Mrs. Anna Ellis, city.
Remains were taken to Bisch Memorial home where funeral services will be held tomorrow. Interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
