DEATH THE RESULT OF BLOOD POISONING
E.L. Fraser, a Civil War Veteran a Victim of Poison Ivy.
At six o'clock this morning at the home of his son, C. M. Fraser, 26 Reed Street, occured the death of E. L. Fraser, the result of blood poisoning. The deceased died in great agony. For the past year he has made his temporary home at Waupaca Veterans' home and he was recently employed in cleaning some swamp land of underbrush. It is thought that he came in contact with poison ivy at that time and the poison soon made its appearance in his system. He returned to his son's home two weeks ago today, but he grew gradually worse, death resulting this morning. He was seventy-five years of age and was born in the state of New York, coming to Wisconsin at an early day. Until three years ago he resided at Florence, Wis.
The funeral will be held at two p.m. Tuesday from the residence, 26 Reed Street, Rev. William Newey of the Second M. E. Church officiating. John W. Scott post #241, G. A. R. of this city, to which the deceased belonged, will have charge of the funeral.
