Thursday, June 19, 1969

VERNETTI - Domenic Vernetti, son of Antonio Costa and Madalena Fassino Vernetti, was born in Locana, Italy on October 16, 1884 and passed away at his home in Williamson, Iowa, on May 15, 1969, at the age of 84.

He came to the United States in 1907 and worked in the coal mines for many years before retiring.

In 1909 he was united in marriage to Mary M. Chiri. To this union four children were born.

He served on the Williamson City Council for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Williamson; two daughters, Jennie Chiotti and Madilyn Sheddan, both of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Elizabeth in 1923, and one son, Joe in 1963.

Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Delbert Hobbs at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 1969 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
