"Howard (death index and burial permit says Horace) Batson who was taken from his home back of Budd's Lake to Morris Plains Asylum in April, died in that institution on Wednesday last of peritonitis with brain disease. His body brought home on Friday and buried the next day at Drakestown. Rev. T.C. Youn preached the funeral sermon. He was twenty-six years of age, and leaves a widow and two children.
